I love training clients. It’s just so rewarding to do something that I love and to see people literally transform slowly over time. I had fun earning a degree in Kinesiology, and afterwards took a detour through office-land. I promptly wanted to jump out a window and decided to go back to doing what makes me happy. You’ll love working with someone who’s truly inspired by their day to day work.

I’m a resident of Cleveland Park and hold a B.S. in Kinesiology. I’m certified by the American College of Sports Medicine and I’m currently enjoying continuing education with RTS mentors (Resistance Training Specialist, Advanced Training for the Exercise Professional). My personal training and Recess Workouts have been featured on Daily Candy- Washington, D.C. as well as in The Washington Post Health section.

On a more personal note, I grew up in central Pennsylvania and enjoyed sledding, hiking in the woods and climbing ‘the tree’ with my best friend Julie. When I was a little kid, my parents installed a low closet bar so I could reach my own clothes. I pushed them all aside and realized I could make full swings around the bar. It was the perfect toy. On more than one occasion, my mom would say, “Ok Suzanne, 5 more minutes and then it’s time to go to bed!”

I loved this exercise instructor Joanie Greggins and worked out with her little pink exercise mat. I also drove my older brothers insane by propping a very smooth board against the couch and using it as an eternal sliding board. It’s ok, they’re over it.

It’s no wonder that today I love rock climbing, soul nurturing yoga, and playtime.
