I notice that the most successful clients are those who go out of their way to fit in their workouts. The other day I had a client end our session early because she wasn’t feeling well. I was meeting another client at Sport&Health shortly after, so I decided to scoot home, pick up my sneakers, and get over there early. I was able to fit in 20-30 minutes of cardio that I wouldn’t have otherwise, since I took the opportunity to make it happen.

Where do you have little nuggets of time where you can fit in some exercise?

Now It's a Social Event

One of the best things you can do to get over a roadblock is to workout with a friend. I found a great climbing partner at the gym. I slacked on going Tuesday night (one of my regular climbing nights) and he got my butt to the gym on Wednesday instead. Together, we made a plan to climb around some birthday festivities going on this weekend to get in the goal of 3x per week. It only took the slightest nudge to get me on board, though I’m not sure I would have done it on my own. Here’s to supportive friends.

The fun thing is that once I’ve attracted this one new climbing partner, we may have two more who are excited about joining us. Now it’s a social event. How fun is that?!
