It’s something that someone can do alone; such as playing a game of solitaire or playing with friends, like we used to do as children, playing with dolls or board games. Whatever the type of playing that one does, it is guaranteed that someone, somewhere is laughing, loving and best of all, feeling alive.
I’ve created an innovative workout designed to combine the carefree feeling of elementary school recess with some of the fundamental exercises designed to strengthen and tone the body while clearing the mind. Work your entire body with resistance training combined with some of the energetic recess activities you loved as a kid!

What exactly is Recess?
It’s a workout designed for adults which incorporates games you might recall from recess, summer camp, and childhood parties. During the class we’ll play a series of active games which can often be modified to suit your individual fitness level. You can expect a moderate impact workout which will leave you sweating, laughing and recollecting the joy of days past.
What do I need to bring?
Water and a small towel for sweat if it’s a particularly warm day.
Is there a regular day and time when Recess is offered?
No, Recess is offered as a special workout offering with classes held periodically during warm months. Recess will be relocating to CA in June, so check out the experience now, if you haven’t already!
