Looking for the next best diet?
You’re totally not alone. A lot of people who are looking for the not-yet-discovered holy grail of weight loss plans are also dreading that the is diet is gonna be tough as hell.
You gotta follow the diet perfectly, and tearfully leave that frozen pizza in the store, and choke down your fiber shakes while your partner makes heavenly smelling tater tots and HOPE that all this effort is worth more than it was last time.
With life being so busy, who’s got the bandwidth for that?
The worst part is, people tend to get more depressed after each diet. Cause each time they try - no matter their level of success - a lot of them fall back into old habits.
And ack, doesn’t it stink to fall back into old habits?
If only you could find a better, more cutting edge diet.
And some self motivation.
And be BETTER at this!
And be “GOOD” for once.
Does this sound like you?
If so, I’m here to let you off the hook.
You weren’t born as a fitness specialist.
You didn’t get a degree in exercise science either.
You didn’t study and tinker with this stuff in your spare time for kicks.
There IS an art and science to weight loss that you simply haven’t acquired.
So there’s no need to beat yourself up for not getting the results you want yet.
(here’s where YOU get to pause, put the self-beating stick down and cut yourself some major slack)
Not many fitness pros can even teach you what I’m about to share. Due to my own distaste for gyms, and love of food, I’ve sort of stumbled upon some secret tricks here.
You CAN sink your teeth into a cool delicious ice cream cone while sitting in your skinny jeans. …and KNOW that you’ll fit into them tomorrow and next week and the month after.
You CAN naturally find and keep the motivation to work out.
Feel excited about it even.
The secret lies in building a super high metabolism by choosing - or at least incorporating - a well tailored workout plan that you actually enjoy.
Let me give you an example.
A client of mine wanted to try out pole dancing classes.
I, with my 20+ years of fitness experience, can skillfully look at the movements, the intensity (not too hard or too soft) the frequency of classes and tell you that it’s CRAZY muscle building.
Which means that if she loves this and shows up to class regularly, she’s going to have one petite, toned, slim body in 3 months, even better in 6 months and beyond.
If she falls in love with the classes, she’ll do absolutely anything to get herself through the door each time. Instead of complaining to her partner about how her pants are tight, she’ll be beaming as she tells him about the moves she learned and about her new friends in class and the shoes she’s bringing next time. And she’ll NEVER want to stop going.
Now wouldn’t you love to have that kind of natural motivation when it comes to your workouts?
Doesn’t that sound better than counting minutes in the gym?
Could you see how this can be super easy AND crazy effective at the same time?
Turns out, this is exactly what’s happening with my client. She’s having a blast, her eyes are bright and twinkling and full of giddy excitement about learning new moves and selecting new shoes and meeting new friends in class.
Does that mean that pole dancing is the magic weight loss bullet for you?
You’re not her. She’s not you. You might hate pole dancing and you might not even live near a class. You’re completely different people with different schedules and interests. It takes a trained exercise pro, (someone who isn’t that big a fan of lunges) and a skilled coach to find that thing that’s insanely effective for you. That thing that's aligned with your giddiness AND your fitness goals.
On some level you might be thinking, I’m still scared.
I’m scared I’m going to fail at this too.
And on your own, with your limited fitness knowledge, even with ALL the weight loss info out there, there’s a good chance you might.
Cause you’ll try to piece this together without being fully educated on what works BEST for weight loss, let alone what works best for YOU ...
...and your situation and your struggles and your goals. This is how (unfortunately) you can sweat and grind your butt off in the gym for 6 or 8 years and see little to no results.
This is how you can exercise intensely for an hour every day and feel fatter, the same way you can try to make cut off shorts by frustratingly sawing at the jean material with a smooth-edged rock.
If you want to pick up some better weight loss tools (scissors for the shorts) and save a LOT of wasted hours, you should pick up a copy of "How to Lose 20 Pounds, what to do (and what not to do!) to lose weight once and for all. It's available under "online courses."
One reader told me she actually couldn’t put it down! She was letting her kids wreck the house so she could keep reading.
Another reader let me know she implemented a few recommendations in the book and lost 10 pounds in about 6 weeks. She also said that what she loved most …is that she felt like she ‘got it,’ like she actually understood the simple, doable changes she needed to make to lose weight. Plus the tools to utilize in the future if she ever wanted to lose more or if she needed to get back on track.
You might think my approach is simply too good to be true!
Well it might be time to let go of the belief that weight loss has to be torture.
And join me and this sort of secret society of people (who live largely outside the fitness world) who treat themselves well and have a blast being active. They build metabolisms so high that they have to work to eat enough! Their pants keep falling off and they have to buy new ones.
This includes two people I know... an ex of mine and also a good friend who fell in love with Jiu Jitsu (spelling?). This includes most of the whole rock climbing community that I’m part of. Many acro yoga enthusiasts. And more.
It’s almost NEVER about calories, “workouts,” the grind, etc.
It’s all about fun, excitement and “can’t wait to go again.”
Effortlessly fitting into skinny jeans becomes a natural byproduct of that.
With my background in exercise science, and skills as a life coach, I can help YOU find your happy place, the thing that makes you SO happy and SO insanely fit at the same time.
What’s also pretty great is that you’ll incorporate the mindset, lifestyle AND fitness concepts that’ll set you up for success.
